Chris Murzin was tragically murdered on February 11, 2021

Chris was driving to work at a hospital in his black 2002 Yukon XL on westbound I-20 (LBJ) just past I-35E at the S. Polk exit in south Dallas when he was shot and killed in broad daylight at 1:00pm. A small silver SUV may have been involved in the shooting.

February 11th was an icy and snowy day where there was a huge traffic pile up in Fort Worth that morning. Chris was killed in the road rage shooting in Dallas later that afternoon.

His family is devastated and determined to find his killer. Chris was an amazing husband and father to three children - two boys and one girl. Their oldest son has special needs, requires full time care and uses a wheelchair. Chris was a respected Community Leader advocating for the special needs community helping our neighborhood and schools become more inclusive and accessible. Chris was very outgoing and never met a stranger, had a contagious laugh and a very kind heart and spirit.

Chris was driving westbound on his way to work at the hospital in his black 2002 Yukon XL on I-20 (LBJ Freeway) between I-45 and I-35E in south Dallas when he was shot and killed around 1:00pm. His car came to a stop before the South Polk exit. A small silver SUV may have been involved in the shooting.
